IEWA 2026 – Silver
After the success of the IWSC win came another Silver Medal in blind tastings by a panel of expert judges in the fantastic 2026 Independent English Wine Awards.
What the Judges said:
A clean and well-crafted rosé showing attractive fruit character and a fresh, balanced style. The wine presents attractively, with a nose of good to very good intensity and quality. Aromatically, it offers bright red fruit notes, particularly cranberry and redcurrant, alongside a subtle aromatic lift that gives the wine charm and elegance. The overall impression is refined and inviting rather than overtly expressive.
On the palate, the wine is clean with moderate to good intensity, delivering a crisp and refreshing profile. Red berry fruit carries through clearly, supported by lively acidity that provides energy and definition. The style is composed and understated, favouring balance and drinkability over richness or weight.
Acidity is a defining feature, bringing brightness and a tangy freshness that enhances the wine’s appeal. While prominent, it remains well integrated, helping to preserve the wine’s sense of poise and keeping the fruit focused and vibrant.
Complexity is moderate, with the wine succeeding through purity, consistency and balance rather than layered development. The finish is clean and moderately persistent, with fruit and freshness carrying through harmoniously and leaving a refreshing impression.
Overall, this is a very well-made rosé that combines attractive fruit character with freshness and subtlety. While not aiming for power or complexity, it delivers a polished and highly drinkable expression.
