What the Judges said:

Good fruit concentration, just a hint of reduction but palate has excellent concentration and balance with a hint of salinity.

Lean crisp and lovely.

Quite restrained Bacchus character on the nose, but nice weighty palate.

It’s a v pleasant wine. Good example of Bacchus.

Zesty, fresh nose, delivering on palate too. All round well made, and balanced finish.

Food Pairings:

British Cheese Board

  • Goat’s cheese – perfect match for the wine’s acidity and florals.
  • Wensleydale with cranberries – the slight sweetness complements the fruity notes in the wine.
  • Cornish Yarg – its creamy texture goes well with our Bacchus.

Seafood Dishes

  • Smoked trout or mackerel pâté – the citrus notes cut through the richness.
  • Fish and chips – especially with a lemon wedge and tartar sauce.
  • Crab or lobster with lemon mayo – pairs beautifully with Bacchus’s freshness.

Garden-to-Table Vegetarian

  • Asparagus with hollandaise or poached egg – tricky to pair, but our Bacchus can handle it.
  • Pea and mint soup or pea risotto
  • Stuffed courgette flowers or grilled veg with herb oil

Light Poultry & Game

  • Roast chicken with tarragon.
  • Guinea fowl with lemon and thyme.
  • Duck salad with orange segments and fennel.
